Spring is almost gone and what better way to say hello to summer-time soirees than a refreshing color palette of blush pinks, aqua and mint blue? It’s a little slice of bridal heaven. Brooke’s vision for her wedding is exactly what I envision for any Tennessee fete, it’s high on the charm factor and loaded with enough sassy southern antics to cast a spell on you – it’s country chic at it’s finest.
from the bride, Brooke…
“I chose a country chic theme for our wedding. I wanted a very organic feel to the ceremony space so lots of flowers was a must. The ceremony was originally planned outdoors, but was moved indoors into the loft area above the reception space last minute on account of extremely hot weather (Lebanon just happened to be the hottest city in the country that day – lucky us). The florist did a beautiful job in delivering that organic feel that I wanted while accommodating guests more comfortably indoors. I had Shepard hooks align the aisle with mason jars filled with a variety of pink and deep red colored blooms. The string quartet played some of our favorite songs from the loft behind the alter.
The reception was held in the on-site reception that featured a lot of natural wood and vintage antebellum murals on the walls that were reminiscent of classic southern gentlemen and ladies. We chose to have the reception on site for the convenience to guests and general flow from ceremony to party time.
We continued the country chic theme into the reception. Each table was covered with seafoam green table cloths, complete with hand-cut cream burlap runners. The centerpieces were eclectically created with a variety of mason jars filled with flowers and candles, and wedding favors. Each table also had its own unique love bird, no one bird being exactly the same.”
