From hilarious moments between a bride & her bridal party captured by Jeremy IGO + Miller & Miller to signature cocktails cleverly named the “Drunk Uncle” & “Love Potion # 9″ , it is no wonder that cocktail hour has taken over Bridal Land. I probably love cocktail hour more than the reception but that is simply because that is where the mingling takes place and there are some super chic ways to incorporate your personality into the hour.
Now for some unique ideas to borrow
№ 1 – Do use unique bottles, mason jars or martini glasses & rim them with edible glitter to add a festive touch!
№ 2 – Entertain them with Lawn Games and it’s a great way to keep the kids happy (via)
№ 3 – Lounge furniture is an awesome way to add more decor plus it can be re-used if you decided to party into the late hours with a midnight-lounge! If you want more ideas on lounge areas, click here (image via Victor Sizemore)
№ 4 – Not everyone enjoys cocktails, do add non-alcoholic beverages to the menu like Strawberry Iced Tea or Sweet Tea with Mint (via SMP)
№ 5 – Do Get Creative with Naming your Cocktails like “Love Potion # 9″ or name it after your new spouse or your naughty pet-name for each another!
№ 6 – If your having a theme or you’re a couple known for your jet-setting adventures, try adding a banner’bearing straws to your drinks with the various places you’ve been or famous love quotes throughout history! (Via Southern Weddings Magazine)
№ 7 – Just because your reception may be formal doesn’t mean your cocktail hour has to be too! Let your funk shine through & Have fun!
No 8 – With all those amazing cocktails, some food is sure to please – Mini bites are not only the latest trend but a crowd pleaser as well! (Colin Cowie)
And since no cocktail hour is complete without a few recipes; I immediately grabbed my martini glass and entertained like a proper hostess with the mostess should when Pearl Wedding Cake asked me to sample some of their concoctions. From over a dozen recipes to choose from, the list is sure to please and I certainly couldn’t keep all these dazzling recipes to myself now could I?
