Indian Springs Metro Park, the 2,215-acre park, had everything– lush fields, colorful trees, and an aquarium under one of their ponds. The couple started the day by getting ready in separate areas on the venue. They then made their way outside for a reveal; Megan’s reaction to seeing Eric for the first time was priceless! The happy couple ventured all over the property for photos of just the two of them and met up for more photographs with their fun bridal party afterwards. The bride wore a BCBG Max Azria dress and a handmade veil. The bride and bridesmaids also designed their own bouquets. Megan even painted a succulent gold for her bouquet! The groom donned a neutral-colored vest and pants with the perfect bow tie to match.

Down the Aisle –

Once photos were completed the bridal party made their way to the ceremony location. Megan reminded the DJ that they didn’t want any music playing at all – they just wanted to get married to the sounds of nature. That is exactly what they did underneath a giant tree, with a rainbow of colors in the background. Once the happy couple sealed the deal with a kiss, they joined their guests inside the venue.

How amazing is this idea? Literally “tying the knot” with rope – a unique idea for a tradition.

Details, Details, Details –

The reception was decorated with handmade touches like stunning tree accents, soft-colored flowers, and hand-grown succulents. The guests were treated to the hilarious “rap” the mads of honor performed in lieu of a speech, as well as a flavorful dinner, and the tasty cake. After dinner the couple joined us once again for photos; this time it was just to capture two must-haves for them — pictures of them running and the natural pond aquarium. Megan and Eric are incredible trail runners and at any given moment can be found in their running shoes; so it only made sense for them to wear their running shoes for a bit. And the aquarium, well, that was just for fun and way too interesting to pass up. All in all their wedding was truly a gorgeous fall wedding and we can’t thank them enough for allowing us to capture it all.
